JOHNS ISLAND

"Rural & Growing” best describes Johns Island. The largest island in the State of South Carolina, its rivers and marshes make the land an island, and they are filled with fish, shellfish, and oysters. Johns Island is home to a live oak tree named “Angel Oak”, and believed to be between 500 and 1,500 years old. The tree is 65-feet tall, but the area covered by its foliage extends over 17,000 square feet! There is both Public & Private schools on Johns Island.
