This is not the same as getting a loan, but will help you and better understand and prepare for a full mortgage loan. It important to do this for several reasons. 1.) It will let you and your agent know what price range you should focus your search, 2.) A Pre-Qualification letter will make an offer you make on a home look stronger. 3.) It will speed up you final loan process and you ability to close on your new home.
